In Q1 and Q2 2025, our primary objective was to eliminate FPGAs from the network through the Hoohash algorithm update. I have to apologize that we have not met this goal yet. However, this focus has now extended into Q3 2025 to incorporate preparations for the upcoming Nocturne network hard fork, including additional algorithm fine-tuning and speed optimization.
We have finalized the details of the algorithm and tested it with CPU. Now we only need GPU implementation. Linux CPU miner available for testnet-b5 available at: https://network.hoosat.fi/downloads/hoominer-0.0.1.zip.
Community voted goals for Nocturne:
We sincerely apologize for not meeting all of the previous roadmaps. The address translation layer, payment gateway and marketplace. The development of these above network features has faced unexpected delays due to network level issues we are taking care of. We appreciate your patience and are committed to delivering the promised features with the highest standards of quality and security.
Q3 2025 will be a crucial period for the Hoosat Network as we complete the roadmap to update the network to Hoosat Nocturne. Your continued support and feedback are invaluable as we work towards enhancing the network's capabilities and user experience. Thank you for being a part of the Hoosat Network community.
